Heave ho me hearties

Hello fellow groovers,
It was my Dads birthday last Friday, so as he loves all things to do with sailing boats I thought this year it was time for a pirate theme!

I inked up a piece of Magnolia Bon Voyage white weathered wood with Walnut stain for the planking they are sitting on (my last piece boo hoo)
For the Copics I tried a new colour combo I spotted on a blog I wish I could remember which blog I saw it on to give praise where it is due which is BG75, BG72, BG10
Browns:E44, E43, E42, E41, E40
Blacks:C9, C7, C5, C3, C1, C00

Pinch me I think I'm dreaming

Hello fellow groovers,
The reason for the title of this blog is simple, I went food shopping yesterday and nearly fell in the shopping trolley when I saw Easter goodies for sale, what happened to Valentines day? Have I lost a month or two?
Well moving on I am still playing with my new Sweet crazy love stamps from Magnolia I just love them, this range is a creeper, when I first saw it I didn't instantly want all the stamps like I usually do, but slowly this range has crept up on me and I want more, I keep adding to my wish list at Sirstampalot!
Well here is my latest.......

The stamp I used isTilda with heart balloons
The papers are from my bits and pieces stash a mixture of Bo bunny and Kaiser craft but I am sorry I don't know the names.
Kraft Card
Tim Holtz:Weathered clock die
The copics I used are:
Greens: G24, G21, G20
Browns: E44, E43, E42, E41, E40
Skin: E02, E00, E000, E0000 and R20 for blush
Hope you like it.
Hugs

Going Bananas!

Hello Fellow Groovers,
This card has taken me a couple of weeks start to finish, I actually started it Christmas eve while I had some time to kill before I met friends in the pub.
I actually had finished it but didn't like it, which is rare for me I normally know exactly what I want the finished card to look like. But I had a large gap, I tried different embellishments but it just didn't sit right. It nearly ended up in the "Never to see the light of day pile"
I really did think the text was taunting me because I really did feel like I was going bananas!
Luckily I had a eureka moment:)
So here it is.......

I am loving the new Tilda Sweet Crazy Love collection and of course these stamps are from that range they are Going Bananas over you text and Tilda going bananas
The paper is Magnolia Sweet Crazy Love Vintage Turquoise
Doohickey Heart swirl branch
Glossy accents
Of course I got everything from Sirstampalot!
The copics I used are:
Yellows: YR24, Y17, Y06, Y02, Y00, Y000
Blues: BG15, BG13, BG11, BG10, BG0000
Greens: YG67, G24, G21, G20
Reds: R29, R27, R24, R22
Skin: E02,E00, E000, E0000 and R20 for blush
I hope you like it

Happy New Year

Hello fellow groovers,
Happy New Year !
Have you made any resolutions?
Have I, no, but I have been crafting with the new Magnolia stamps!
Like quite a few of you I was trying to win Magnolia goodies on their blog when I spotted a tutorial for a lantern, so I thought I would give it a go.
If you fancy a try see the tutorial here.
I got carried away with the photos a few more yet!

Its quite a list of goodies for this one
The stamps are:Valentino from the new sweet crazy love collection
and Rose Scent Tilda
I used Kraft card and the papers are Magnolia sweet crazy love Eau de cologne and Vintage plum
Nesties Label 4
I used Sizzix Little sizzles card for the base and lid
now for the copics
Purples: V99, V95, V93, V91
Browns: E44, E43, E42, E41, E40
Greens : YG67, G24, G21, G20
Skin : E02, E00, E000, E0000 and R20 for Blush
Instead of the acetate suggested in the tutorial I used vellum so I could pop in an electric tealight to light it up.
I hope you like it
Hugs
